The power of group prayer/meditation has long been known in many world wisdom traditions. More recently, it has been hypothesized that the number of people meditating in a group is equal in effect to the square of that number of people meditating separately. In other words, ten people meditating in a group is equal to one hundred people meditating separately. It is for this reason that the Peace Every Day Initiative is committed to provide people an opportunity to join with fellow “peace workers” in their local area.
If you would like to form a Peace Every Day Initiative Meditation Group or currently participate in a prayer/meditation group that is aligned with the Peace Every Day Initiative, we would like to post your group information on this website.
Criteria:
- Group includes at least 40 minutes of silent prayer/meditation.
- Group provides information to new participants about the Peace Every Day Initiative (either verbally or written) so that participants may have the opportunity to link their intention with this global collective effort and register their commitment on the website.
- Group may be inspired by any world tradition, or non at all. Group listing must include this information.
- Group founder/facilitator and the majority of participants have registered their commitment on the website of 40 minutes of prayer/meditation per day.
